If you've never heard of this anime, you must have been living under a rock for the past few years. This anime features the Hidden Ninja Village of Konoha and the adventures of 12 young genin (junior Ninjas) within their missions. The main group of ninjas that are featured are those from Hatake Kakashi's group, team 7, with members Uzumaki Naruto, Haruno Sakura, and Uchiha Sasuke. As they tackle their missions each ninja grows in their own distinct way because of their own unique motivations, with Naruto's drive being acknowledgment and recognition by everybody else (especially Sasuke), Sakura's drive being her love for Sasuke, and Sasuke's drive for revenge against his brother, Uchiha Itachi.

This is one of those anime where you either love it or hate it. Personally, I love it. I think every character in here is very well developed and each of them fittingly. I will say, the main story cuts off at about episode 140 or so, therefore, the rest of the anime from then all the way up to episode 220 is pure filler. I love the filler episodes, so it doesn't bother me, but from an objective standpoint, I know some people hate it with a passion. The music for the anime is very well done, whether it's the passionate "Sadness and Sorrow" or the obligatorily kickass "Naruto's Theme", it fits the mood very well and compliments the anime very well.
